SANTA GETS TOY CHECK
The West Bloomfield Optimist Club and Santa Claus are getting ready for their annual kids holiday party held at St. Mary’s Preparatory School in Orchard Lake. Each year members of the West Bloomfield Optimist Club provide a party for over 120 kids which includes: gifts, food, sing-a-long, and a photo
with Santa.
Wes Berry, owner of Wesley Berry Flowers and a member of the club supports this event by donating a check toward the purchase of toys for the kids. Toys are wrapped by club members at a gift wrapping party held at the home of one of its’ members.
“This is one of our many programs that we sponsor throughout the year for kids. We are lucky to have generous members like Wes Berry and others in our club who give back to the community with their time and financial support.” said Lou Goutman, President of the club.
The West Bloomfield Optimist Club meets every Tuesday at 7:30 am at the Fiddler Restaurant located on Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming an Optimist you are welcome to join them for breakfast or call 248.563.7315 for information.
